I’m currently being inspired by feminine shades and textures like cream colours, whites, dusty pink, chiffon, tiered lace, organza, pleats and soft browns. It’s a very fluid pool of ideas to pick out inspiration from, as well as combining these subtle tones with contrasting textures like foil and metallic sheen as seen in one of Topshop’s recent collections.
Of course, it can be incorporated into beauty fixes too. Dewy skin and dabs of rose pink for a natural look while hair is styled in fishtail braids, beach waves or merely swept back for a slick wet-look. The result is a delicate look consisting of faint colours and effortless demeanor.
The room interior photos I chose play a big part in developing my current fascination with neutral shades. The indistinct touches of burnt sienna and camel in the woodwork and flooring create a dream-like atmosphere. Really, it does appear as if all these colours and soft textures are melting into each other. For me, it gives the impression of a graceful and elegant setting, and that’s enough to trigger a stream of ladylike influences for future outfits.
Yes, there aren't photos included in this post (being all mysterious, hehe) so check it out over on the Inner Circle!
