When Nicolas Ghesquière reimagines the timeless and classics, you can expect the pieces to be show-stopping and on-trend. For one, he took the essential cashmere sweater and applied a two-layer trompe l’œil effect – a faux V-neck reveals first the checkerboard motif inspired by the House’s iconic Damier, then a high neck in contrasting stripes. And the Speedy? As if it was impossible to love anything more, Ghesquière injects a fashionably vintage vibe with the Damier canvas revamped in black and white.
